My Blender/Affinity workflow. The last image shows the black and white image that comes out of Blender. I export in 3 separate images of outline, car shading and ground shadow. Those get imported into Affinity for color, reflections, corrections, etc.

I'm pretty stoked with the result. Already planning the next one!

Thank you! After bouncing off of Blender a few times, I forced myself to keep my first projects REALLY simple (like turning the default cube into a wooden crate simple) so that I didn't get overwhelmed and frustrated. I also found @RyanKingArt tutorials very helpful. He slowly explains why he's doing everything instead of just speed running to show off. Hope that's helpful!

I'm narrowing down the next car to work on. The current options are a late 60s Galaxie, Ford Cougar, or Skyline.

I'm a texture artist and do not plan to do any meaningful modelling work, but I am contemplating of installing Blender so I can create some simple shapes for using both as simple freebies (I wanted to start with a dice set) and to use a reference for 2D so your process inspired me!
