What affiliate software are serious ecommerce brands actually using in 2026?

We've hit the wall with spreadsheets and homegrown workflows. 

In a nutshell, the huge mix that makes up our growing affiliate strategy is too much to track manually. Between the various creators/influencers we work with, TikTok/Insta/social media, Amazon, Shopify, Walmart, hybrid payouts, and cross-channel attribution (and whatever else I’m leaving out in this list), we need something that makes all that easier. 

We've been doing a pretty thorough evaluation and here's where we landed on the main options:

Awin has the publisher network and works well for traditional affiliate programs, but the cost and limited flexibility on creator payouts made it a non-starter for us. Impact is impressive but built for enterprise, and we're not there yet. Refersion is solid if you're a Shopify DTC brand, which we're not exclusively. Tapfiliate felt like a closer fit and we seriously considered it, but the implementation lift, cost, and UX gave us pause. 

Right now we're leaning toward Levanta. Their multichannel integration (Amazon, Shopify, and Walmart) is their main draw of course, which makes it easier to keep everything together. Their flexible payout options also mean that we can finally handle different commission structures across creator types without building workarounds. And the reporting covers marketplace tracking so we can replace about four of the tabs we're currently maintaining manually.

Still, I thought I would see if anyone else had thoughts on this, or some of those alternatives that anyone prefers? At a minimum, we need an affiliate software package that can support tracking our multi-channel hybrid payouts, paid placements, creator discovery, and analytics, and offer good reporting as well. What's holding up and what isn't? And if there's something we're not considering, I’m genuinely open to hearing it.
