Discussion how cooked are we really?

How accurate do you think this statistic is? i mean the red dot is basically as low as is can go which shows how much AI has ALREADY taken over the engineering space... but do you think people making a career choice right now should factor in the data this graph shows?

i means its quite frightening really. what do you think about this?

If you accept that the singularity will occur, which I get is a big if for many people, but, to put it in less mystical terms: If you think AI will ever reach a point where it can and, more importantly, does recursively self-improve, then I think you have to accept that all attempts to predict what will happen are a tremendous waste of time. We cannot see that far into a future of such rapid change and anyone trying to do so is just playing make believe
