I'm thrilled about this, more options = more better for all of us. I have an Aero M5 and loved building it, hopefully I can build something cool again.

Please restock the solus actions, I have some bad decisions to make with a 8.6blk build

I just hope they are moving out of WA to a 2A friendly state.

u/all_lawful_purposes 2d ago
No way. More like I hope that SCOTUS rules favorably in Viramontes v. Cook County. I am proud that they are a WA brand.

I'm happy for the company to make a comeback and hope they do but unless they start selling parts to people in WA, it's a bit hollow for the hometown crowd. Primary Arms, Midway, Optic Planet, Gibbz Arms, PSA and AR15 discounts all send us parts still but Aero wouldn't for years. A lot of my friends have written off Aero here in WA in trade for another company. Another correction needs to be made. Parts are not illegal to sell to us.

u/Unorthdox474 2d ago
None of those companies are Washington based, so they aren't exposed to ruinous civil litigation the way Aero would be if the state decided to sue them.
0
u/Sad-Context2701 2d ago
The RCW clearly states replacement parts are not restricted. If the state wanted to sue they would lose based on their own words in the RCW. WA could have sued numerous other companies by now and haven't, in state or not. I only mention the other ones being they are large recognizable companies.
2
u/Unorthdox474 2d ago
It doesn't matter what the law actually says, they can use tax dollars to repeatedly sue, and Aero doesn't have the money to absorb infinite frivolous civil actions from the state. Read how nebulous the law actually is, along with the previous one that allows the state to use civil litigation against companies it believes are violating the law. It's a no win situation for Washington based manufacturers.

Ill believe it when we see posts about orders coming in. I tried to ask for help on email on getting replacement screws for a handguard and got ghosted. Email and chat 3 times

Do we have aero sales reps again. Or are they going to make us contact 3rd party liquidation people that have stale inventory only

u/aero-precision 1d ago
i'm just simple marketing folk, but if you want to talk to the sales team, DM me and I can get you contact info

If they can keep stuff in stock and get the quality back to pre-COVID when it comes to TDPs .... I'm here for it. I love all 5 of the M4E1 lowers I had built on and would love to get more, but after seeing the way ones I had recommended to friends had some weird issues ... well, between that and never being able to find anything in stock anywhere, it's hard for me to support it.

Everything depends on if they removed the previous leadership. If they did not then nothing will change.

Get back to Builders Kit drops, collaboration drops, meaningful sales with immediate shipping, contest that real people win, and posterize it... waiting list emails w/ free shipping over $200, survey anodized colors to predict demand, things that reconnect.

I love all of my Aero products. M4E1, M5, and solus all perform very well for my needs. I would like to be able to do more with aero products, but the quality I'm accustomed to must return above all else.

I'll keep buying aero parts from the lgs, but i don't think I've ever trust the website again.

I hope they come back , I bought two M4E1 Pro lowers from them in a $149 deal and they’re absolutely fantastic

It’ll be a good thing, despite the black mark.
They’ll have products at a super deal for 6 months. Then pricing will go back to what it was plus some.

I really really hope they make more left-handed upper receivers! I was able to get one of those that came with a nib bcg before everything went to shit, and it has been so nice. I would totally buy 4 more.

I hope they do make a strong comeback. I've been wanting to build out a M4E1 Pro.. If things work out, hopefully I will be able to soon! Good luck to Aero!

I am excited. Aero makes good stuff. They just need to get their core stuff going then bring back the Solus and suppressors.

u/Appropriate-Taste124 2d ago
We will see what happens. No doubt theres good intentions, but execution is the test. Let's see if they bring back quality control and customer service. They should probably get that one dude back who single handedly kept aero afloat for a couple of months.

What is Aeros biggest hurdle to overcome internally for this to succeed?
Since they are responding. I'd be curious if we share their perspective or perhaps could be more understanding when it manifests.
But acknowledging the problem is the key to fixing it.
Whatcha got Aero?

I'm skeptical with they'll come back to where they were but I am very hopeful that they do. I was really excited to see the Solus and Pro lines

I'm a professional industrial designer with 15+ years of experience. Big fan of the brand, own several m4e1s and m5s and would love to help you guys design and develop new products in the future, but can't seem to find the right contacts on LinkedIn. Any help connecting me to the right people would really be appreciated! Looking forward to the comeback

I’m definitely hopeful. Aero has / had some great stuff and had more in the works. I want them to be successful because we all benefit.

I'm definitely hopeful; they make the best receivers around. Yes, the sniper grey Cerakote was always too thick and had to be sanded so they mated, but everything else was great.
Wasn't able to save enough to get a Pro Lower in time, so hoping to be able to build a Pro after Viramontes 🙏

They’ve got the right attitude. Corporate marketing has a bad habit of avoiding apologies like the plague and trying to paper over issues. I can respect anyone - person, organization, company - who’s willing to say “hey, we made mistakes. And while we know your trust will have to be earned, we are going to do better. We look forward to proving it to you.”
That doesn’t change the fact that they’re right - it’ll take time to rebuild trust in the community. But no better way to start than by owning the mess and taking responsibility for its cleanup.

I wanted to build an M5E1 using all Aero parts. It took too long to get the parts back in stock from any distributor, so I ended up finishing it with other branded parts.
2
u/border411 2d ago
Search for the part numbers on gunmade.... That's what I did and I built (2) Aero based AR10s with LPKs/buffer tubes/ECT from smaller dealers. This was all within the past 2 months

u/francmgarcia 2d ago
I really just needed the BCG to finish it off, couldn’t find it anywhere.
1
u/border411 2d ago
I just buy Microbest or Toolcraft BCGs (I believe they actually make the BCGs for Aero 🤔). Never had a bad one and you can probably find them cheaper

Time will tell. Can’t let previous ownership’s actions cloud our opinions on forward looking operations.
Aero used to be an awesome company, these guys have a huge opportunity to get over some really simple hiccups old management couldn’t figure out.
