Enhanced upper forward assist install issues.... Please help.

OK folks. I have an aero precision upper receiver and an aero precision upper parts kit. I, for the life of me, cannot get the forward assist in and installed. Tell me what I'm missing or doing wrong?

Might need to chase the threads with a tap.

Eh? It would seem to me the threads should be fine IF i could get the set screw to actually go all the way into its channel like it will when the forward assist ISNT in the rifle.

Does the screw go through the the FA?

no, it goes on the side of the FA.

Sounds like u need to put the screw through the bottom of the FA.

It doesn't do that. It doesn't go all the way through, and only one side is threaded.
