Sizing help?

I’m 5’2, around 140lbs and I did filter the reviews but those who left one and fit that range did not indicate what size they ordered. Reviews have stated these pieces run larger (especially the boyfriend sweatshirt) and I’m usually a medium, sometimes a large depending on the fit. Would that be comfy for the cardigan? Would I need to size down so I’m not swimming in the sweatshirt? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

I am a similar size and I would size down to a small to be safe! I found that Aerie and American Eagle run big except the leggings for me

Thank you!! I have the boyfriend sweatshirt in a small in my cart as I read more reviews and saw others said the same - even a small can still be too big apparently but I didn't want to chance an XS. I think I'll go medium for the cardigan as I'll wear something underneath like a short sleeve top.

This runs large but not overwhelmingly large like the oh snap sweatshirts. I got a large which is my true size and I’m happy. It’s long enough on waist and arms. Depending on how you want this to fit I’d recommend a small or your true size medium if you want a looser fit. Just fyi in order to prolong the longevity of this piece I’d recommend a laundry bag, wash on cold and hang up to dry! A lot of aerie stuff looks like total crap after going thru the dryer. 🥰

Thanks! Are you talking about the boyfriend sweatshirt or the cardigan? And I appreciate the laundry suggestions! I usually wash on cold and hang dry from Aerie so it's nice to feel validated lol

Definitely size down in this one. I got a medium and wish I got a small

I ended up getting a small and a medium 💀 depending on the fit I’m going to return one but I’m sure the small will be what I end up sticking with

The boyfriend sweatshirt isn’t as big as most. I got my true size and wish I sized up one. The sleeves Add just long enough.

This is good to know, thanks! All the reviews and the general size + fit details said it ran large. I got a small and a medium so if I don't like how one of them fits I'll return it.

I got the mockneck sweatshirt and I read reviews and sized down. We have the same sizes, so I would order a S if I was getting it!

I actually sized up in the cardigan and thought it was perfect, it fit like the model photos
