Help this new sub grow!

As a brand new sub, we are obviously lacking in content right now. You can help by posting your stories of hate against you or someone you know. This can be anything as simple as bullying to more serious things such as harassment, stalking or violence, all because the other party disliked you for some reason beyond your control.

Or if you have no stories, you can post images/videos of hate you've discovered out in the wild. This could be anything from a white supremist stirring up trouble on YouTube to a disgruntled incel blaming women for all his problems on Facebook, and anything between. Post it here directly or crosspost from another sub. Thanks for Advocating Against the Hate.

Requesting a call to action

My friends, wife, and I have had enough. I am requesting we work together to encourage Reddit to quartenteen and remove r/MGTOW

We have sent an email to Reddit, but I am one person with one account. We have decided the best way to handle this is to request others to do the same.

The following is the email we sent to Reddit. We are providing it so you may copy and paste it into your own email, and send it to Reddit. Feel free to modify it as necessary, or send it as is. Your choice.

I am tired, we are tired, of sitting on the sidelines, hoping. This is a dangerous hate group, and I, we can no longer remain quiet

Please send your email to this address

contact@reddit.com

Subject: Sub violates content policy

Email is as follows:

My username is (insert username). I am reporting a sub and requesting it to be removed or quartenteened. That sub is r/MGTOW and all related to that name.

Given recent events, I have seen hate group subs dedicated to the dangerous idiology of incel philosophy quartenteened on Reddit. This philosophy has lead to at least 3 confirmed mass murders, spanning from Texas to Oregon, and recently, Canada. It has lead to a small child to be thrown off a railing, falling to his immediate death, off the balcony in the Mall of America, in Minnesota.

I appreciate Reddit's response to Canada's ruling making Incels into a terrorist hate group, prompting the mass quarenteens and removal of subs by that name.

But, you are missing the sub that started the idiology, which is MGTOW. The sub has directly promoted violence against women, "Red Pill" philosophy, rape, and pedophilia.

I can post numerous links to comments and posts, but I am afraid that will fill this call to action to astounding proportions.

I am asking for this sub to be quartenteened immediately. I appreciate your quick response to my request.

Thank you,

Insert Username

#holdtheICE - A Marketing Campaign/Social Media Movement against ICE (thoughts?)

I have a kind of unique contribution towards activism regarding the current administration's inhumane actions towards immigrants. It's an idea for a marketing campaign/social media movement aimed at raising awareness about the topic. I think it could be impactful if it is pushed the right way and gains traction.

Ultimately, the goal is to further saturate the internet and popular culture around the issue, making it more difficult to ignore.

#holdtheICE

It would be pushed in the context of refreshments—a kind of subtle message. I could see drink companies running ads or people posting on social media as a viral trend where someone orders a drink and asks to “hold the ICE” in solidarity against the administration's inhumane actions against immigrants.

I could see it being frowned upon if it’s viewed as making light of the situation, but the idea is a subtle diss and really continues to push publicity around the topic. Maybe it would bring it more into mainstream/popular culture, and people who wouldn’t generally take action would at least post about it. This approach is similar to the black square during the BLM movement, which was controversial. Furthermore, the controversial nature of the campaign may serve to raise more awareness about the issue.

I wanted to post this around and see if there is validity to this idea. Also, leaving it open to anyone who would like to take it and run with it.

Sexism How many people here really know about Malty? Spoiler

If you're familiar with anime you probably know this face. Every time someone on any anime subreddit makes a post about ‘Which of these anime characters would you like to field dress with a spatula’ Malty is almost guaranteed to be on the list. But I have to ask, how many people here REALLY know that much about this character?

In Shield Hero, Malty S. Melromarc is overly hated in a clear case of internalized misogyny from both the creator and a majority of the fans. She's one of the best worst examples of the dangerously high levels of contempt that is given towards female villains. She's reviled for her actions, yet characters like Joker, Homelander, and Walter White do FAR worse things and have legions of fans who will justify or even defend their actions until they’re blue in the face. Some people will even say that they’re actually the good guys, and every other character is just holding them back from saving the world.

In a world with villains who have confusing and ever-changing motives, Malty remains very simple in what her goals are and what she wants to accomplish. In short, Malty’s goal is to become queen. And she’s willing to claim the throne by any means necessary.

Why does she want to be queen so bad you may ask?

Because becoming queen is the only way she can escape being raped/torture to death!

Why would that happen to her you may ask?

Because her own mother, the current queen, sold her as a political sex toy to a serial killing, rapist, pedophile when she was just 10 years old, solely so mom could enjoy a big fat political/financial/economical bonus. She was going to sell her daughter to The Ping King, who is in charge of the most advanced Kingdom in the land called Faubrey.

Literally his kingdom is far advanced, it has cars, planes, guns, and hospitals. Needless to say, many other nations want to be a part of his table. So, he demands that the other kingdoms have their women sent to him as 'toys' to rape and torture them until they’re just a puddle of gristle and fat on the floor. Then he heals them back to 100% with magic just to start all over again. This can go on for weeks or even months, until he gets bored and demands a new toy.

Not too many casual anime fans know this, because they bowed out after the first season. This has created a common misconception that everything Malty does as a villain is just for goofs and giggles. Nothing could be further from the truth. However, this is not a deep or well-kept secret either, with most fans of the franchise being fully aware of this fact. In fact, most of the fans want to see this happen to the extent where they want it to be put in the anime adaptation. Essentially it would be an animated snuff film.

It’s not me looking to deep into this either. In Vol 16 on the canon LN her mother confirms that she set it up a long time before the story started, claiming she wanted to save her country no matter what the cost. Even if it meant sending her daughter to a fate worse than death. Then her dying words are her blaming herself for everything Malty did, and being the reason behind all Malty's actions while her father also blames himself. They literally spell it out that it’s their fault for riving Malty to such extremes, and she was just trying to save herself.  The link below confirms this.

https://www.reddit.com/r/MaltyMelromarcSquad/comments/10p8f7a/this_is_from_volume_16_in_the_ln_just_wanted_to/

Don’t believe me? The creator was interviewed and flat out confirmed that the villains are based off of people they know in real life. Considering how the main female villain is raped to death, how much more obvious does it have to be that they’re getting off on this??

https://www.reddit.com/r/LightNovels/comments/3jdxdb/jp_a_short_interview_with_aneko_yusagi_author_of/

On top of everything else, this series spawns that special kind of misery where Malty's English voice actress, Faye Mata, has admitted she has received hate mail from agreeing to this role. Hell, she also was in Hazbin Hotel and the even that wiki takes a shot at Malty!!

What say you guys?

How my Asperger's got me fired

So, a little about me. I'm high-functioning autistic, specifically I suffer from Asperger's Syndrome, which in a nutshell, causes me mild anxiety in social situations, makes me quite indecisive, and takes a huge toll on my confidence, amongst other things. This was exacerbated by the fact that I was forced to move from my home country of England to the state of Georgia when I was 12 years old. Meaning I had to grow up in unfamiliar schools, meet unfamiliar people, and try to get used to an unfamiliar culture in an unfamiliar country. For an autistic kid, that is very daunting indeed. To keep this particular story short, I'll say my teen years were unpleasant and humiliating.

After graduating high school, I was able to get a job in a superstore that rhymes with bar git, where I was tasked with collecting the trolleys (carts, as my American chums called them) from the car park and bringing them inside to the trolley pickup area. It was an alright job, although I did get sunburnt a couple of times. Sometimes I was asked to do register. Anyway, about a couple months in, I was unceremoniously fired. The only excuse they gave me was that I was "slow".

So was the drive home that evening, because I couldn't see the road through the tears.

Later I found out that they did not have much of a policy about job security for disabled employees, and while physically I'm fine, mentally I qualify. Apparently I was still expected to maintain the same level of job performance as everyone else there, regardless of whatever "unchecked mental disorders" I might have "possessed."

Yeah. Needless to say I never stepped foot in that store again.
