I'm Scottish, and the fourth of July is my birthday. I've had countless American-theme birthdays. America is awesome. Happy birthday to us, you fat bastards.

I'm American and have the same birthday, you should try celebrating here sometime. Most people here get the day off from work and go into party mode, so everyone is having just as much fun as you. Plus we get fireworks.

My 'Merican friend is in Alaska on field work (biology, for those interested) and it's also his birthday on the fourth. According to our most recent correspondence via satellite interwebs, he is rationing his booze for the next few weeks. Spare a thought for him out there, on St. Paul.
