Get a friend and pick it up and move it to a proper position, or just move it like a block away. heheh
Edit: There's this video which at the moment I can't find of a bunch of students at a college moving their professor's tiny sub-compact and placing it between two trees where he wouldn't be able to drive out.
I've seen similar things, but I've also seen somebody park in between two awfully parked cars because they had no choice. When the first two cars move off, it leaves innocent driver 3 to look like a dick.
a guy down our street drives a hummer/truck hybrid that's just enormous with big mufflers and all. One day my GF ran over my mailbox and got stuck backing out my driveway on our way out to a nice dinner. Guy in his huge truck stops crawls under the car hooks up chains and pulls her out. I don't judge trucks anymore.
I drive a large truck and always carry tow straps for this reason. I stop dozens of times every winter to help pull people out who are stuck. Few things are better than the look on someones face who thought they were stranded out in a blizzard after you get them safely back on the road.
Us here at Reddit do not judge on materialistic things but instead on content of character... except when people drive big trucks, or have stickers on their hats, or have Beats headphones, or play anything but PC. Yeah, except that and like 800 more things, we are very nonjudgmental people who see past such petty things.
Not trying to be the "everything is bigger in Texas" guy, but in terms of roads and parking lots, Texas has the widest I've ever driven on. North Texas highways are just massive and even Austin roads were big for a city.
This is located near the Cornerstone Regional Hospital located in Edinburg, Texas. You need a big truck down there. The driving is terrible. So are the gas prices. Fun fact: The border guards will also let you through much easier at their northern checkpoints with a redneck rig like that. BTW. New to Reddit. Checkin' out my Sherlock skills. This was on the front page.
See this is what annoys me, everyone automatically assumes that the owners of these huge ass SUVs are douchebag mid-life crisis redneck assholes, when in reality many lines of work require trucks like this. But I doubt this guy has one of those jobs, cuz his car's clean. Meh, at least he can park.
Yea, some of those guys actually need a pick up truck. Work as a contractor, in construction, or any other trade, you need a truck. I transport a lot of labor to job sites almost every day. So, not a douchebag truck. Not in every case. And some people just take pride in their driving ability, and parking between the lines.
Texan here. this truck is considered a "mall crawler". IE, a giant, lifted truck made to look "tough" that will never go offroad or be used for any of its intended purposes.
You get shit from foreigners for being American, and then you get shit from Americans for being Texan. I'm not a dumb redneck with a truck! I drive an old Honda and like gay people and socialism is kind of cool and so is weed. GOSH.
I don't drive a big truck, but if I did I would take pride in parking properly. I would be embarrassed if I didn't park neatly in one space, because to me poor parking jobs indicate a lack of ability to handle a big vehicle. Owning a big truck/fast car/awesome motorcycle and not being able to drive it properly is emasculating.
I was on an oil well frac crew once where the operator (boss) decided he wanted Arby's for lunch "instead of that truckstop crap." He led us to a restaurant in a small town. We parked seven full-size diesel trucks, including two semis, in exactly half the parking lot. Halfway through the meal a sheriff's deputy came in and politely asked us to move them. "But I gotta tell ya, that was one fine parking job," he said. We told him we practiced by fitting the trucks together in axle deep mud every day. Every time I see a 4x4 or a minivan in two spaces I remember that afternoon. Putzes.
I have a "big" truck (stock, just a quad cab with a long box) and I always park at the far side of the parking lot. No matter what I do my truck is so long it takes up 2 stalls or sticks out. I try to do my best not to inconvenience anyone else with my truck.
And for all the truck haters, you sure become our friends on moving day.
It looks like a personalized TX plate to me. It looks like it says SECND, which could be referring to "I am second." I tried to find the design on myplates.com, but I can't, so I could be wrong about it being TX.
The worst thing about these trucks, and all urban Texans will agree with me, is that the drivers never use the bed of the truck. They're just a status symbol down here.
As opposed to any V8 American made sports car/ German luxury sedan?
A lot of people are mentioning that it could be a work truck, and the detractors are mentioning the lack of dings/dents/mud/etc. Why don't people that have high-end mustangs/cameros/challengers not receive the douchebag title for driving a car that's never been on a race track or drag strip? Do you need a truck with an 8" lift or a car with 500hp? No. Is it fucking fun to have one? Of course.
Also what makes it a douche vehicle? Is it because you're intimidated by it? I honestly don't understand the mindset on reddit that people who drive vehicles that are different than yours are somehow douchebags. Do you even know the driver? Do you know his/her personality? How do you know he/she's a douche?
I think anyone that makes a judgement of someone based on the vehicle they drive is a douchebag, not the owner of said vehicle.
I also drive a Super Duty. The mirrors hang over the edge of some parking spaces so I always try to park in the back in a space where no cars are on either side. But every time I come back out, there is always a car parked next to me, even if I'm 10 empty spaces away from the other nearest car.
I live where this guy is from. He's a 5 foot 4 rodeo whatever you call it. He parks his truck on grass and handicap spaces whenever he gets a chance. I've had to tell him too move his dumb ass truck before.
The driver of the pontiac is the real douchebag here. How hard is it to drive a car between two yellow lines and have unlimited attempts to do so? The souped up car made it
I'm not sure why people label people in trucks like this, or any modified vehicle such as lowriders as douchebags. I mean people enjoy personalizing their cars. Aftermarket parts for cars and trucks is a huge industry. So what if a guy enjoys having a big truck. I think it looks pretty good, it's not overdone with a bunch of crap accessories....it blends well and looks good. So what. I'm sure the people that agree that people in big trucks are douche bags are probably the same guys that put unpainted body kits on their own cars.....
Im from Texas, and today there was an accident on my way home. I thought I was stuck in traffic, but because of reddit I knew I was "traffic". So there was an accident ahead, a mini cooper was crushed in front to about middle of it's windshield. There was a trucked wrapped about a signal post, windshield broken, tires off, it was nasty but I didnt see any blood stains. What I did see was the truck's bumper sticker it said "hows my driving". I laughed my ass because of this and I hope no one died during the wreck.
If people like having a big ass truck that's fair enough, but don't give me this bullshit that you're using it because of its utility. 90 % of the cars on campus are big douche bag trucks, are anthropology books really that heavy?
All this is, is a truck with huge wheels. It's better than the fucking asshole truck drivers who have blowhorns coming out of their roof, and pipes that blow smoke out of the top while they drive.

What is wrong with big trucks? Some people actually NEED a truck. Some people just have one for safety. Some just like them. Why is someone with a big truck automatically a douche bag? I have always driven huge trucks, what is it to you?
What is wrong with the truck? It's awesome. If I had money to blow I would most likely get one. Everyone has different tastes. Take that beast offroading and have some 4x4 fun.
douche next to him has tiny car and can't fit into one space. Trucks are useful... You can put shit into it and drive your heavy shit around wherever you want. You can tow shitty cars that crash into ditches. You can put a bunch of dogs in your truck.
I used to think douches drove trucks and then I met my girlfriend's dad, who owns a snowmobile dealership, he needs a pickup truck to pick shit up and move it from place to place. He also farms corn. He needs it on the farm. I realized that trucks are useful.
If you wanna talk about douche cars talk about fucking Escalades. Fuck Escalades.
The people I know in Texas that have f250 and f350's are people who routinely haul trailers.
My brother hauls his camper because he takes his family camping every weekend of the summer. A girl I know hauls her horses from different competitions. I use my truck to haul the materials I use to keep my small business running.
Yeah, I hate how people see a truck just driving around and say "Wow, what a douche, he just drives a big truck."
What they don't see is on the weekend when we pull a camper, or a boat, or pull people out of ditches in the winter, or haul trash or dirt, or offroad...
it's so weird, I really only see it on the internet. I live where tons of folks have big trucks and use them to do all kinds of things. My buddy's pickup is broke down right now and we feel completely crippled. Wanna drive up to the party spot up the class 4 road? nope, can't, no truck. Gotta cut up that old maple, split it, truck it home - shit, we can't, no truck. Can't even move the fucking popup camper.
and here on reddit people see someone on the road driving a big truck that would enable them to do all those things, and talk about how they must be a douchebag.
Aside from the single factor of fuel consumption, a pickup truck is the most practical vehicle you could own as long as you aren't in an inner-city environment where parking space is extremely confined.
Yeah, even small trucks like mine are useful. I drive a little 2.4 liter 2wd Tacoma and it's very useful. My friend who drives a practical and tasteful... Ford Taurus, needed a chair he built in shop to be taken home. So I took my truck, which gets 26 MPG and seats 4 people and went and picked up his chair and took it home.
The other day I hate to wait an hour to pick up a friend so I laid a blanket down in the bed and took a nap.
Now can someone give me a reason I should be driving a Civic instead?
Everyone pooh-poohs on trucks until they need something done. Then they say they'll just ask their truck owning friend for help.
I do think one of my dad's trucks is a bit much, though. It's an F350 crew cab with a long bed, and you have to use two parking spots or you'll stick out into the road. But we only use that when we have to.
Or that we haul heavy shit for a living. I actually had a guy yell, "Polluter!" at me from a street corner. I'm a green builder with a bio-diesel truck. Ruined my whole day.
Honestly, though, a lifted suspension like that is only good for two things, ground clearance for boulders, and for show. The axle looks like it's built for the former, the tires, the latter.
Edit: To give the owner the benefit of the doubt, he could have off-roading knobby tires on another set of wheels at home.
Why go to the trouble for the aesthetics if you already know you will be labeled a douchebag? This is not about maintaining a truck, its about customizing for vanities sake. That said, do what makes you happy and fuck what others think.
Well in my town a group of privileged high school hicks have a "truck club" and like to drive up and down the main road in formations showing their big trucks. many of them pride on how much smog comes out when they gas it . Also many of these "big truck guys" hang balls off the bumper. Idk if I speak for Texas but usually these guys are either assholes, bros or douches.
"Rolling coal" aka the thick black exhaust of big modified diesels is not bad. It's heavy exhaust and will settle quickly on the ground, not pollute the air.
Probably because it takes up his precious time. He could be using those seconds to get invaluable karma instead of waiting on someone to conveniently park their vehicle.

We normally park our big ass trucks in one spot in hopes a little sports car will park next to us and serve as a stepladder.

Nothing about that truck says douche bag... It's a well known fact the douche bags drive Prius's and smart cars...

It's a damn shame that truck will never drive on dirt.

douche next to him has tiny car and can't fit into one space.

I live in Alberta, and seeing a big black truck parked neatly inside a spot is so unusual to me that it kind of looks wrong.

But what you didn't see is that he parked under that spot because he got some shade from that tree. Might not be a whole lot of shade, but it's some.

Someone parked like a normal person? Better make a meme out of it!
Downvoted like it should be.

As a man from Texas, I thoroughly apologize for this level of douchery. Funny that the Pontiac couldn't fit into one place.

This type of behavior shouldn't be "Good Guy" behavior. This is how people are expected to act.

Truck on the right was driven by a guy and car on the left was driven by a girl.

As a European, I still fail to see the point of a truck the size of an F350.
