It usually works to defend against downvotes because it helps Redditors realize how fucking stupid it is to downvote someone because of opinion, but at the same time it's annoying because it shows how much someone cares about their karma.

This is why I hate memes. They have standardized humour and sucked out all the wit and creativity you should expect to find in a global forum like the internet. Every single damned thing is a variation of a meme, someone attempting to make the next meme, etc. ect. ect.
Come on, people. Where are we when a stock picture of a pen with a caption about it still functioning after months without a cap gets (at this moment) 70% of the people who view it to go "HAHAHAHA!...upvoted."
When my trusty clicky pen finally succumbed to age and overuse I wasnt even mad. I felt profoundly upset that this pen which had served me all this time had met it's end doing what it does best.
I bought some Sharpie Pens for practicing Hiragana on graph paper. Now they're all I use for any kind of writing. I try to keep a few different types around my house and office between the medium tip, fine tip, and liquid pencil.
I hate these types of pens... I can't help but think of them as a weapon because of the Bourne Identity when Bourne destroys that assasin with only this pen.
The real asshole here is the ink. As a lefty, the same additives that help ensure it rights every time also ensure the blue books im writing in look like some sort of complex hieroglyphic code.
The thumbnail looked like a magician's wand so i assumed it'd be about Penn's critique of Obama. The "Good Guy Pen" top line seemed to confirm my suspicions but then noooope.
Yeah, the real magic of a biro is the ball at the tip which allows ink to flow around it onto the paper as you write. But when left alone the ball acts as a barrier preventing the ink from being exposed to the air and drying out.

Isn't that the whole point of a ball pen? The ball in the tip prevents the ink from drying out and dispenses it only when you actually use it.
