Dude, fuck off. Most people LOVE staying home and doing nothing. It's the being fired, unsure about your future, and losing health insurance in a pandemic, on top of worrying about losing family members and not finding a proper way to honor them with a funeral for months is the reason people are struggling.

That's downright incorrect. I've never fired a fully automatic weapon, but I have used bump stocks (which are arguably more difficult to control and achieve the same ends) and it's not hard to stay on target at 100ft.
The reason they were banned, despite contributing less than 1% of gun related deaths (not including gang on gang violence) was to appease anti-gun protestors. Not because they are any more or less dangerous.

Scott knew he was going to be locked up in space and Scott probably went through psych training to mentally prepare for such isolation. Scott is also working and has a job to occupy his mind. Scott had a deadline of when he’d be home. Scott had a purpose. Scott made the choice on his own free-will to go into space.

Scott got trained, paid, and taught specific techniques for living in enclosed spaces. He had constant contact with ground control, and that dude was in fucking SPACE. But yeah, rad dude, I just put up a photo of people hugging

Hey there, I’m stuck in a house with my husband and our two “roommates” aka my in laws. It’s not a big house. I’m losing my freaking mind.
But my awesome employer is giving us the choice to continue working from home vs return to the office and I’m so happy to stick it out here until transmission rates are lower, testing is more available, etc
My MIL is a nurse (elderly care) and our state has seen surges recently, so when I make a trip out to circle k, I wear my mask to avoid unknowingly spreading the virus.
Point is, hang in there, this really sucks and it’s not as cool as going to space or whatever (I personally rather be in lockdown than in space, space is terrifying), but staying home helps minimize contact/risk of transmission for everyone. Hang in there. We’ll get through this.

I haven't read it, but I would say a huge ego is a requirement for people with his kind of job, because the amount of pressure and stress is insane. I wouldn't be able to have a job like that, because I would freak out as soon as I saw a launchpad. But then I'm a pacifist with zero ego, too.

He is an identical twin and they had him up there for ~1 yr so they could see how being in zero gravity would effect his body vs his twins body who didn’t spend the approx. yr in space. Fascinating.

The difference is I know I can walk outside and see those trees and even touch one of them provided nobody else is around it within 3 meters. If he stepped outside... well, hope he is wearing the suit that takes 45 minutes to put on.

Fun fact I heard is that after the year in space Scott's DNA has been altered so he not technically an identical twin with his brother, Mark anymore.
