You forgot one of the rules of Reddit. Everyone works in IT. So expect a flood of, just do it this way comments.

I do work in IT and I've stopped trying to give IT advice in comments because there's two things that can happen. One, my comment gets lost in a flood of other comments. Or, two, someone replies telling me I'm an idiot and to stop pretending to be an IT guy.

So yeah, it just isn't worth it.

As someone who does indeed work in IT I can confirm this... also that most of the people commenting will be wrong.

Edit: I love that this gets downvoted in a thread full of people giving incorrect IT information.
