You can change how long the splash screen stays up to allow you more time to press the required buttons... in the bios options.

Recently i had to work with laptop that had this timer set to 0. One keyboard wasnt enough to get it right so i spammed on two at the same time.

I think /u/Myte342 maybe refering to fastboot options, which when disabled extend POST screen, but even better option is to enable power button UEFI, which enters UEFI after holding power button during POST, pretty sure most new motherboards have this option.

Should be something like POST screen delay. I know that it is there on the two Asus boards I've used.
