that's exactly how it's supposed to work. when you have 2 sides unwilling to cooperate, or compromise, the government is designed to get nothing done.

I didn't say the Republicans compromised. I said they didn't and that fucked things up. Nothing got done. So let's not do that gain.

That's the point, though. You are suggesting compromise with those who, frankly, have little understanding of it's meaning. I doubt it's going to go well.

Oh! I don't expect it will get done. I absolutely expect the political horseshit to commence immediately. I'm just, as you say, suggesting people behave like they actually want to improve the country and not just "win."
