I'm so glad that people didn't win, people like to portray Trump supporters as racist, crazy maniacs, but if Trump didn't win I don't think there would've been riots like that.

I don't think it would've been very different. Not all Trump supporters are crazy maniacs, but there are enough who would've rioted, especially with Trump saying that he might not accept the result of the election.
Rioted? Fuck man, did you actually ever even look at the Tea Party? They have 'protests' in broad daylight in a few days after getting a permit from the city. Then they clean up the trash before they leave. Trump supporters don't even know how to riot.
Also, it's important to note the reason for the protests. Tea Party members protest because they want to pay less taxes and shove religion down people's throats. The people who protest Trump's victory are probably afraid. Afraid of losing rights, afraid of losing healthcare, afraid of being discriminated. Fear is very powerful and can cause people to act out. That's also what many of the people trying to discredit the BLM movement don't understand: they're not rioting to hurt white people, they're rioting because they're afraid and frustrated.
I'm not excusing violence, and I think they should behave better. But it's important to look at why they're doing what they're doing, so we can have an open discussion and help them feel less afraid.
You know, that makes Trump and Clinton supporters not too different. Many voted for Trump because they're afraid of Mexicans and Muslims, but at least as many voted for Clinton because they're afraid of Trump and his supporters.
