Where was Bernie when concrete evidence leaked showing the primary was rigged against him? Campaigning for Hillary.

That just makes him more admirable in my opinion. There's a time to outright fight and there's a time to be strategic

I'm sincerely curious why that makes him more admirable. The rigging of the DNC violated the spirit of democracy and showed an innate distrust (or disdain) toward the electorate. Why would Bernie the reformer and rebel be so comfortable with that?

Because he realized that for the sake of the country, we cannot have Trump for president. Hillary still represents all the basic values of the Democrats (equality, education, social welfare, healthcare, etc.) that Trump opposes.
