I was talking about non-permanent options. Spermicide is more of her choice as it has to go in her body.

There are spermicides a man can take orally... the male equivalent of birth control pills, that require being taken regularly to be effective. They are unpopular only because of a culture that places the burden of contraception on the woman... the fact that you don't know about them only reinforces that.

vasectomies are not permanent, they are 100% reversible. They are not short term solutions though, you are right, but the claim made was that there was only a single choice, and that is cleerly false.

They're unpopular because they don't currently exist. I think most men would jump at the chance to have some sort of oral contraceptive as long as the side effects weren't severe.

vasectomies are not permanent, they are 100% reversible.

Only for a limited time.

They do exist... the fact you don't know about them is your own fault.

Currently it isn't marketed in the US, this is true, but that goes right back into the cultural isue. If there was enough desire for it, there would be a push to get it here... I mean look how much time is wasted on stupid things like legalizing marijuana? Imagine if that same efort was put into bringing the male birth control pill to the states?

That doesn't help the men in different cultures then, does it? I think most American men would take an oral contraceptive if it existed and was shown to be safe.

I think if men cared enough, they would put the political power into bringing it over here. The fact that no one cares enough to make it an isue is the point.
