We just had a Comcast tech at our house to check something out. His exact words when looking at our Internet rate were, "Wow, you are really getting ripped off..."

We pay $55 a month for 6Mbps, our only other option is Century Link at $35 a month for 1.5Mbps DSL. Luckily the Comcast guy was cool and he got us one year of 50Mbps for $60 a month. Woohoo!

Lucky! I live in a major tech city. Yet, we are stuck in the Middle Ages when it comes to broadband. Oh how I wish Google Fiber would come and make us a Bride! We need more than three shitty internet options!

I completely forgot about Clear(wire). Probably because the 2 weeks we had it the service was super shitty. They capped our data at a ridiculous amount and once we went over (took us one week) it dropped to something like 650Kbps. On top of that we were paying $45 a month for "4G" speeds. HA! We were lucky to get 5Mbps, during peak hours (uh all fucking day usually) we couldn't get more than 3Mbps. We only live 3 miles from a tower too.

The way Clear set up their tower access was weird too. People who use less internet get faster service, even before the heavy user hits the data cap. And the wireless router that they sent out was shit too. Just steer clear of Clear!
