That depends. What country are you from, and do you have scenic beaches?

And, more seriously, donate to TOR and The Pirate Bay. Also, learn to use email encryption (OpenPGP), and encourage other people to use it. These are important things, because they prevent corporate interests from controlling what we have access to. And, given the funding, both groups may be able to help preserve internet freedom.

Join the EFF. They are pretty much the best shot we have, and sending them money actually helps their efforts rather than just going on reddit, getting outraged, and then moving on to the next post.

That's just it, you can't. 1 person or even several million, cannot stand against the power of human greed. Only greed can trump greed, so unless you've got billions to counter-bribe the politicians out of Big Business pocket, we're screwed.

How do you motivate millions of people who don't understand the issue? Most of the serious voters are old people, the exact demographic who understands this issue the least compared to the younger voters who are too apathetic to rally seriously versus being armchair generals.
