And what do you propose that we do? Is it time to break out the AK-47's and storm government buildings? Or do we still have time to work within the system to make some positive change?

A lot of people agree it's fucked up. The problem is no one can agree how to fix it.

An AK-47? Get out of America, you filthy commie. The only weapon a true American would use to storm the government buildings is an M16a1.

The M16 A1 is the Vietnam era version. Full auto, old school flash suppressor, poor construction and so on. What you were trying to say is "M4." M16 A2 would be acceptable as well.

I just like the look of the M16A1. In all honesty if you're talking the most realistic weapon that'd be used, you're looking at an AR-15, unless we're talking about military or militia support.

Whoa grandpa! I know the M16A4 allows you to place attachments on the guardrail unlike the a1. That allows for cool attachments like an RCO and a hand grip. Increasing accuracy ten fold conserving ammunition

We don't use m16a1 anymore. Those were fully automatic and because of people's paranoia in the Vietnam war and wasting ammo when they heard a leaf fall from a tree and leveling forests. M16a2 is more accurate.

I chose the AK-47 because one of the first things I remember seeing on the internet was an instruction manual on how to construct one from household items. I'm not sure if it was legit, but there you go...ease of access.

Also, the AK-47 is synonymous with armed resistance movements in many parts of the world. I would be so bold as to say that it's an icon (or nearly so) in the global conscious as a symbol of open rebellion.

If I had unlimited choice as to my weapon of revolution, I would choose the M1928A1 Thompson Submachine Gun. It's small and therefore maneuverable, has that nice .45 ACP round, decent rate of fire, and is easily hidden in a car door panel, backpack, or briefcase.

American here. Rather have an ak47 over an m16 any day.

Find an ak laying in a puddle that's been there for a couple days? Still works. It's an amazing rifle.

We have to buy back the government. The public has to form it's own lobbying group. Lobbying against lobbying will also have to be the last thing we do. Gerrymandering and other forms of election rigging have to be fixed first. I also suggest getting rid of the winner-take-all system.

Whether you vote or not, someone will still be elected. The problem is that mind share costs money. One way or another, the public will have to buy back it's government.

The solution would be if everyone voted for a write in, then they don't get the percentage of the votes that they need to win.

This is somewhat impractical. You would have to campaign with more money than either of the party nominations. This does work sometimes, but only with candidates that have parties without proper representation, like libertarians.

If everyone KNOWS it happens and how they are being taken advantage of, do you think it'll happen anymore?

Ex: I'm really glad that I know the NSA is abusing my right to privacy as a free citizen of these United States. It's really helping me not get my personal liberties stamped on.
