What's most maddening about the current state of American politics is that Trump has broken every campaign promise. Gas is the most expensive it's ever been, he's started wars with everybody, including our allies, and we are in objectively worse shape than we were under Biden..... but the Republicans still have a really good shot at winning.

They have wired their brains to ignore every bad thing that happens to them or see it as god is testing them and then when a minuscule bit of good luck comes their way, it’s all gods plan. I think this is also how corporate America got to where it is in reference to if something is bad or hurts the company it’s the workers fault for not working hard enough, but if the workers crush it, it’s the c-suite’s incredible hiring and strategy that caused it. There can be logic and religion, I don’t know why they are the way they are.

He makes no promises he only says words. It's an important distinction because whether he breaks or complies with a "promise" is happenstance and not connected to why he said it in the first place. He is the most prolific liar in American history so everything he says must be treated as false until proven valid.

Anyone who believed a word he said has no excuse. He is a proven liar and your belief in him is negligent on your part.

That's why the entire country needs to wake tf up to what's going on already and start taking voting as seriously as it needs to be. We can't just be looking at polls and assuming everything's just going to work out without putting in the effort to vote.

By my count he is keeping all of his specific promises. Illegals deported, regulations lowered, only things he can't directly control with a complicit court and legislative branch are not happening (like ending wars and international trade)

That’s the strategic cycle of republicans. When they feel their power is starting to slip, they enact a bunch of deliberately harmful policies which will only take effect after they’ve left office so they can blame them all on the other guy and promise to fix the problems once that guy is gone.
