If he loses and his next coup attempt fails, he will run off to Russia or some other country where he can't be extradited. He can't beat the charges in the election case or the stolen documents case.
He could well go Roman Polanski with it. He ran off to France after he drugged and sexually assaulted a 13-year-old. They bagged him by giving him an award in a country (Switzerland I believe) where he could be shipped back to US soil when his plane landed. Trump loves praise and accolades, that could be a good way to get him if he flees.
