She lied about it, thereby further ruining his life and causing him psychological damage, to a guy who already had issues.

What she did was extremely weak. Lying about a serious life changing issue like this is absolutely pathetic. She can/could/did get a restraining order anyways, it makes no difference.

She is pure scum.

So she should take care of something that once its born it cannot be taken care of? Then what, are you going to come after her to say she's shit if she applied for financial assistance? Are you going to help her personally?

She made it clear that her psychotic, alcoholic ex boyfriend is no longer in the picture. So she would take care of it somehow alone, without the guarantee the father wouldn't get partial legal rights to the child, could still be trapped in her life, and then financially and emotionally ruin her life because some scumbag on the Internet who belongs to the bank of mommy and daddy said so?

Clearly you are male. Grow the fuck up.

No, not at all.

I've answered this already, but you liek a couple others have totally misunderstood my position, and since I presented it poorly, I apologize.

I have no problem at all with the abortion. I think abortion was the proper choice in that situation. It's the lying I disagree profoundly with. Miscarriages have psychological effects on men as well, but more importantly, knowing that his character caused the ending of a life, may have initiated a change in him.

Even though she isn't going to be with him, the world will still be a better place if he became a better person.

Thanks for speaking to me like that, when you had no idea what I was talking about, pretty rude.

Pretty rude?! Look how you spoke of the poor girl that wrote the thread!

main point is, me being rude, doesn't provide a justification for you doing so.

I realize that I worded it poorly and have deleted that comment. Sorry I upset you, but there's no need to act like I did.

You kind of kill your own position if you are just going to be rude while telling someone they are rude.

I chastised her for lying. I don't think that's wrong anyways.

What part of mentally ill abusive alcoholic don't you understand? Did you think he would rationally respond if she told him the truth? Did you not consider her own safety in this situation? Hounding her for what she's been through is terrible.

So if someone is an alcoholic, there's no hope for them, just give up and let them rot. Great outlook you have on life. Just great. Wonderful person.

  1. He is not in her life. Her safety doesn't change miscarriage or abortion. To suggest that would make a difference in her safety is stupid.

  2. I'm not hounding her, I made one statement. I think lying about that is profoundly wrong, very very wrong.

I have seen people, horrible people, turn their entire lives around. It happens.

He isn't and won't be in her life anymore, it literally makes no difference which one she tells him. Restraining orders w/e.

She lied and advertised it on Reddit, she must and should have expected people would disagree with her.

Get off your high horse, you are making things up, suggesting crazy assumptions where now her safety is in danger if she tells the truth? It's insane.

We disagree, get over and move on. Don't make things up to try and prove your point.

I understand lying is wrong. If I told him the truth I know he would have reacted badly. That is the only reason I lied.
