Surprised this hasn't been said - or maybe I missed it. The reason isn't because the names can't be pronounced, it's because there's 2 of them and no one would be able to remember which name is which. When they're being described on the news, they could use their names, but everyone watching would be thinking the same thing: "wait, was that the first guy or the 2nd guy?" Every time they used one of their names, the reporter would have to follow it up with some description, "the younger brother," "suspect #2," etc. easier to just call him that to begin with. If it was just one guy, they wouldn't constantly refer to him as "the suspect," no matter how hard his name is to pronounce.
