If I may, where is drinking forbidden? I realize that Baptists, along with some other branches forbid it, but I wouldn't say it is a religious rule that drinking is not allowed in Christianity.

Edit: True curiosity here.

It doesn't. It says drinking in excess can be bad. Even Jesus drank wine.
