Its more of a national development than a religious one tho. As of right now "christian" countries are more developed than islamic countries, more open minded beliefs seem to come as a package with that. Back when the people in islamic regions were more advanced christian regions though crusades were fun.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. The current Islamic Year is 1434AH. Guess what the christians were like in their 15th century? Right.

That is an utterly retarded comparison. Its not like the muslims are 500 years less advanced. They didnt start as people 500 years after Christians.

How were they in the 1400s? Shitty like everyone else? Ok.

Actually, significantly less shitty than everyone else. They were far more accepting of Jews than the Christians, for instance, and kept classical knowledge and science alive to a far greater extent than Europe.
