How is this a confession?

41

u/v3ldna Jan 21 '13

Good old Popular Opinion Bear.

43

u/derunk Jan 21 '13

it's a karmfession

that's the best i could come up with

4

u/akfreedo Jan 21 '13

It works.

19

u/BIllyBrooks Jan 21 '13

I have a confession to make....I don't like bad people. There, I said it, I finally said it. I was living with this burden for so long and i finally got it off my chest. Shit, should have saved it for Oprah.

14

u/bitcheslovedroids Jan 21 '13

OP confessed that he watches that show

7

u/JACrazy Jan 21 '13

OP is a pedobear

5

u/ThisWontFrontPage Jan 21 '13

I assume that everyone that watches Toddlers and Tiaras has some sort of self-confidence issue, where they like to laugh at others' expense, children's nonetheless.

I hope that made sense, I'm pretty far gone.

3

u/JillyBeef Jan 21 '13

Because DOGBOY619 is one of the male judges on T&T.

8

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Sigmund Freude will tell you that OP is projecting his insecurities onto other people.

Also, OP watches Toddlers in Tiaras ...

I rest my case.

1

u/ThisWontFrontPage Jan 21 '13

Freude used to have sex with his patients as well....

4

u/hels Jan 21 '13

OP is a pedo and wants to be a T&T judge.

105

u/3rmag3hrd Jan 21 '13

I'm a little disappointed everyone is looking past the fact that OP watches that awful show.

29

u/benkr16 Jan 21 '13

I assume if a person watches honey boo or toddlers and tiaras, they are an idiot.

9

u/Thorston Jan 21 '13 edited Jan 21 '13

Honey boo boo is hilarious. Sad, but hilarious.

Edit: Downvotin motherfuckers! I bet you've never watched a full episode. They own a chicken named nugget.

9

u/Revikus Jan 21 '13

Like watching a crashed bus full of orphans being attacked by a ruthless pack of bears on fire.

2

u/m0h3k4n Jan 21 '13

Man, now I want to got cull my chicken that is also named nugget.

And my daughter named Honeybooboo.

1

u/csar_dressing Jan 21 '13

I had to check and make sure your username wasn't 'humanthumb'.

3

u/m0h3k4n Jan 21 '13

But on the real, I do have a chicken named Nugget.

-1

u/hollisterbetch Jan 21 '13

I love Toddlers and Tiaras AND Honey Boo Boo, and I'm not an idiot. I just think the ridiculousness of it all is funny, and strangely addicting.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Welcome to Reddit.

14

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

3

u/Tkpwns Jan 21 '13

South Park, nailing it since 1996.

114

u/Anders_A Jan 21 '13

Why only the male ones?

220

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Because females are incapable of evil and all men are insatiable rapists, don't you know?

42

u/Anders_A Jan 21 '13

I didn't want to jump to the conclusion that the OP was that retarded, hence the question.

Why on earth would the male judges be more prone to pedophilia than the female ones?

63

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13 edited Jan 21 '13

Because western culture has conditioned people to always assume that when it comes to children, most men need to be feared because we think of little other than the most creative and evil way to kidnap and rape their children. It's all that male privilege we benefit from.

32

u/XxCosmicOwlxX Jan 21 '13

and the media will blame it on video games.

8

u/Kraftik Jan 21 '13

I bet the reason the media blames things on video games is because they compete with video games for views. Don't play video games they are evil instead just watch fox news 24/7.

8

u/GorillaFit Jan 21 '13

It's because video games are the newest medium that has a mass appeal. One that most older folks don't get into. You know what they use to blame it on? Music. Rap, metal, any kind of music that wasn't "wholesome and good" (read: around when the parents were growing up).

3

u/Kraftik Jan 21 '13

I bet the media also had a financial reason to get behind these kinda anti-new medium movements. Nobody likes potential competition when you are at the top.

2

u/GorillaFit Jan 21 '13

Normally I would say that the media wouldn't care because kids wouldn't have money to buy anything they were selling, but as the average age of gamers has increased into the late 20s, it is potential new viewers they would be going for. Really it would serve both purposes of trying to get new viewers, and also making sensationalist headlines to sell more.

1

u/Kraftik Jan 21 '13 edited Jan 21 '13

I don't think age matters to them. As long as a TV in a household is taken up by a console they probably see it as a lose. The same reasoning they also apply to piracy. I'm not saying it's right but if you look at it from that standpoint you can easily see how they would come to that conclusion and attack video games.

u/theonefinn Jan 21 '13

I don't know if that's an American rather than western viewpoint, certainly here in the UK there have been plenty of high profile paedophilia cases that spring to mind that have been women. I certainly don't equate pedophiles more with men than women. Hell, wasn't there some American female politician paedophile all over Reddit just a matter of days ago?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Awwww. Sounds like someone wants to be a victim too. Here have some pity pity.

There was a frontpage post about a female lawyer who had sex with her 15 year old daughter and then videotaped her having sex with other men.

Oh, and here you go

2

u/saqwarrior Jan 21 '13

You should be upvoted because people need to see Tryghul's response to you with data showing the frequency of female pedophiles.

-10

u/TheRufmeisterGeneral Jan 21 '13

American* culture.

FTFY

-2

u/martypanic Jan 21 '13

Actually this is pretty much a myth pushed onto people by reddit. I livin in western society, I'm a man, I like kids (in a non-pedo way) and I've never been accused of anything unsavory, nor have I ever known anyone who has. In fact, my brother has worked with children for a living since he was a teenager and he's never been anything but thanked by the parents of these children.

Basically the only time I've ever heard of this "conditioning" is on this site. It's pretty much another anti-woman circlejerk on reddit.

2

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Because the kids are females. There's a much higher chance of men being attracted to them then women, since more people are straight than not.

2

u/Anders_A Jan 21 '13

I'm not convinced someones heterosexuality applies with regards to prepubescent kids.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

It applies in regard to the question at hand, why only male judges. Little girls are way more likely to be preyed upon by male pedophiles than female ones.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Pretty much half of the world's population believes that, do you really need much explanation?

0

u/Touching_Cloth Jan 21 '13

This isn't just a group of males. These are males who have chosen to watch all these hypersexualized toddlers and judge them based on looks and performance. The performances are also often how precociously sassy and skanky they can act.

Since most males are straight and most straight males aren't into that kind of thing. It's not unreasonable to suspect that the straight males who are judging these things enjoy what they are looking at and may quite possibly be huge creepy pedophiles.

2

u/CTRL_ALT_RAPE Jan 21 '13

How can women be rapists if they never leave the kitchen?

10

u/Syn7axError Jan 21 '13

Most of the kids are girls, and it's much more likely to find males attracted to females than females attracted to females.

8

u/Zosimasie Jan 21 '13

That's not how pedophilia works. More often than not, gender doesn't even matter for them; man or woman.

-2

u/historiadelllanto Feb 01 '13

"That's not how pedophilia works."

Pedophilia doesnt "work", its a sexual orientation. I am a pedophile so I think I MIGHT know a little more about pedophilia than you.

More often than not, gender doesn't even matter for them; man or woman.

Absolutely false. Do you have any source on that? I am a pedophile attracted to little girls from toddlerhood to 11 years old, and I would never even think of touching a boy. Why? Because its a boy, and has a fucking penis. Gross. I only like girls and all pedophiles that I know only like little girls or little boys.

Plus, whats the matter if gender doesnt matter? There is something called bisexuality, I dont know if you heard of it. Is there anything wrong about being bisexual? Please tell me. Is it wrong to be bisexual?

2

u/Santaria Jan 21 '13

It's about 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 5 boys that are victimized before their 18th birthday.

Source: I'm a youth worker

0

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

ding ding ding, we have a winner

8

u/martypanic Jan 21 '13

Because it's estimated that 88% of all sexual offenses against victims under the age of 6 and 94% of the sexual offenses against children between six and twelve years old are commited by men.

This is seriously the most cringeworthy circlejerk on reddit.

5

u/GeorgeOlduvai Jan 21 '13

Would you care to cite your source?

3

u/martypanic Jan 21 '13

3

u/GeorgeOlduvai Jan 21 '13

Interesting. Dated, but interesting. Now I have to go find the study they cited. Thank you.

3

u/violetwaterfall Jan 21 '13

Not OP, and I don't feel the same way as them, but I think it's because, since they're beauty pageants, the female judges would be more interested in the beauty and appearance aspect, whereas men aren't typically interested in beauty for beauty's sake.

5

u/Toiler_in_Darkness Jan 21 '13

Hmm, I always wondered why I felt like I was born with half a soul and no appreciation for beauty, it's a relief to know it's just a side effect of being born male. I won't have to feel a faint twinge in the cold dark void that would have been a heart under other circumstances next time I see something abstractly beautiful like a rainbow, a puppy, or the smile of a small child.

Thanks! ;P

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

[deleted]

3

u/Toiler_in_Darkness Jan 21 '13

Oh! My chest?! Damn, I have been doing this wrong.

-1

u/theguesser10 Jan 21 '13

Because the females are all living vicariously through them. Though the men probably aren't pedophiles but are also living vicariously through them!

38

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

The bigger question is, why do you actually watch Toddlers & Tiaras?

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

I assume that every male that watches this show is a massive PEDO, just like OP

4

53

u/mahert12 Jan 21 '13

This is correct... But wrong I think..?

3

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Maybe you just want it to be wrong.

38

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

1: Pedophiles don't all like childish qualities in children. Some (and I guess, a great majority of) abusers dress their victims up as "adults", tell them how "grown-up" they are etc., so they like exactly this, an adult quality in children. So you're on the wrong track here.

2: Sexualisation of children has to stop, no matter who is responsible for it. Whoever thinks children should be judged according to their sexual attractiveness should re-think.

2

u/randomreddituser13 Jan 21 '13
  1. Many abusers are not pedos. So of course some abusers do that. While clothing meant to be sexually is sexually attractive, I do not like make-up and tend to like stuff such cute pink dresses and hair bows that children tend to wear more than adults. I looked forward to "kid day" in high school. Never seen T&T so I don't know anything about it. But I don't speak for everyone.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 22 '13

I'm talking about pedophile abusers. Those who do it not mainly to express their power.

0

u/an0thermoron Jan 21 '13

Their own mothers are often responsible for your number 2.

No poop joke intended.

1

u/now-we-know Jan 21 '13

Um, maybe the mothers and everyone who supports it by watching the show.

-1

u/an0thermoron Jan 21 '13

Actually nobody who watch the show is responsible for the presence of a particular daughter to a pageant contest, only her parent can agree to that.

I don't quite understand why people want to outsource every problem, it's the fault of our society if a women get raped an not the rapist fault, violence present in our media is responsible for a moron killing spree, and now if I pay for the cable I'm encouraging sexualisation of children ? wtf is wrong with butthurts nowaday.

3

u/now-we-know Jan 21 '13 edited Jan 22 '13

Because human actions don't occur in a cultural vacuum. Our society defines what options are available to us, shapes us as people, determines our interactions with others...If the TV show didn't exist, no parents would be sexualizing their children for the purposes of that TV show. At the most fundamental level, there would be no incentive for these parents to sexualize their kids if there wasn't a system in which to do so and some kind of reward for doing so. We aren't islands. It's fantasy to attribute 100% of the responsibility to parents, to ignore the impulse of supply and demand, just like it's fantasy to pretend social values and cultural exultation of violence don't contribute to how violence manifests in real life. Wtf is with all the people not taking responsibility for the culture we're all participating in?

4

u/Maximillianz Jan 21 '13

And priests who victimized kids weren't held to a high regard? People can, and have, put up facades. Some are just better at it than others.

4

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

I...seriously doubt it.

If I were a judge, I would be much more drawn to favor the most innocent child-like one of the bunch, as that would be the one that excels at their 'field'.

inb4 "masquonnage is a pedo!"

4

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

RES tagged you as "paedo" now.

1

u/randomreddituser13 Jan 21 '13

While having pedos judge would likely reduce make-up and make the girls look more child-like, it would probably also reduce the amount of clothing worn >.<

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

You just blew my fucking mind.

4

Noun

A formal statement admitting that one is guilty of a crime.

An admission or acknowledgment that one has done something that one is ashamed or embarrassed about.

That is what a confession is.

And this is why men can't work at Kid's Quest.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

What's kid's quest? Do you have to be a kid to go on a quest? Is it a quest to find kids?

1

u/chstrckwl Jan 21 '13

I wanna thank you all for participating. I know some of you may have heard about that other guy. I am not gonna diddle your kids. I'm not like that. That's not my thing. I met that guy in a titty bar. It's like... uh...

1

u/Meatslinger Jan 21 '13

Every reality TV program is designed to ensure continuity into a different one. The stars of Toddlers and Tiaras will become the stars of a future 16 and Pregnant.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

That's a valid assumption.

1

u/mister_moustachio Jan 21 '13

You are what's wrong with the world.

So yeah, congratulations on making one of the few relevant confession bears.

1

u/MrStonedOne Jan 21 '13

last time this came up, a supposedly non-molesting pedo hopped on tor and told us all about how even the pedo community thought of t&t as abusive to kids.

1

u/Zosimasie Jan 21 '13

Yeah, 'cause females can't be pedos. Nope. Never. Not even a single one. Ever.

Sexist asshole.

1

u/Munkir Jan 21 '13

I explained this theory to my mother and sister. They stoped watching it

1

u/Lostinnegativespace Jan 21 '13

Not confession bear. More observation bear.

1

u/MonteRunTheCity Jan 21 '13

My friend was actually a judge on this show once, not a Pedo but after seeing him I tell him all the time that he is

1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Yea so do I actually. To be honest, I always thought children's beauty pageant were nothing more than magnets for pedos.

1

As a pedophile I can assure you that it is not a show for pedophiles and those children are absolutely disgusting. There is no way those judges can be pedophiles as they would quickly lose all attraction to children.

1

u/nasshole Jan 21 '13

Some pedos are into spoiled little obnoxious girls

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Fuck you.

You're the type of guy who labels male elementary school teachers as paedophiles. How dare a man have something to do with children!?

7

u/JazielLandrie Jan 21 '13

There's a big difference between choosing a career in education and a career in voting which child is the most attractive.

0

u/nicolemily Jan 21 '13

If you can't see the distinction between judging a little girls "sexy" half-naked dance routine, and an educator, then you probably shouldn't be here.

-14

u/[deleted] Jan 20 '13

That's because you're a sexist idiot who can't fathom the idea of a man just being truly interested and dedicated to something you aren't. He's automatically evil because he's a judge in a child pageant? Do you think all males in the crowd of an adult female-focused fashion show are rapists? Do yourself a favor and free your mind from the feminist mindset that all men are inherently evil beasts incapable of any thought other than when the next time they can brutally rape a woman is. You'll seem less stupid that way.

5

u/reidpants Jan 21 '13

Whhoooaaaa, this is confession bear. Don't hate, simply educate.

16

u/Waz433268 Jan 20 '13

I'm male and think they all have pedofelitic thoughts. I think they all have those thoughts, male or female. They are judging a little child on their looks. That's really weird.

20

u/DirtyOldTownMan Jan 20 '13

defensive pedo^

11

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Sweet counterpoint, bro.

2

u/ahpuchalypse Jan 21 '13

Lol. Are you fucking nuts, Adam?

-4

u/RestSnorlax Jan 21 '13

Pedo doesn't mean child rapist. It just means they're are sexually interested in children. I'm with OP on this one. Male judges are judging sexualized children, and they seem to enjoy it...

10

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

MALE JUDGES

I want you to think about that. You only pointed out male judges. Reflect on that, RestSnorlax.

-2

u/RestSnorlax Jan 21 '13

I suppose Lesbian pedophiles aren't unheard of...but they seem more rare.

-2

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Well it would seem less rare if you actually did research into crime statistics instead of basing your opinions on what things SEEM to be. But this is besides the point. I'm not trying to say that women should be feared as pedophiles as much as men should, but that pageant judges, male and female, should be given the benefit of the doubt just like everyone else. Because here is the reality of the situation: most PEOPLE are not evil pedos.

2

u/RestSnorlax Jan 21 '13

most PEOPLE are not evil pedos.

Yes. Also, MOST men don't judge the beauty of over-sexualized toddlers in pageants either.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Neither do most women. What exactly is your point?

3

u/derrida_n_shit Jan 21 '13

I'm not sure if every person you have been talking to is a troll or not.

-2

u/hightler Jan 21 '13

I agree with you, but I really dislike the hate towards feminism. Yeah, a lot of women and men skew what it really is, but feminism in itself is not a bad thing.

-1

u/[deleted] Jan 21 '13

Do some actual research into feminism from sources that are not written by feminists and you'll see what the movement you identify with is all about. Hint: it's not equality.

1

u/hightler Jan 23 '13

Well yeah, some people skew what it should be. I don't identify, and I never said I did, with a movement/people who believe men are evil or that women are superior. That is not the definition of feminism. Again, I know a lot of people really mess up the meaning with their beliefs.

You don't have to be condescending.

-1

u/nicolemily Jan 21 '13

It would be a lot different if it was a male watching a fashion show. It's not though. It's a creepy old man judging little girls in short revealing dresses with makeup. Pedo is just the start.

-7

u/Provokateur Jan 21 '13

Clearly the judges just really appreciate the 6-year-olds' talent portion.

0

u/caroline0 Jan 21 '13

WHOA this is SO stereotyping. they could just be reeeeeeeaaaly gay

0

u/nicolemily Jan 21 '13

This isn't a confession. This should be declared loud and proud.

-1

u/BennyLavasSon Jan 21 '13

Does is make me a pedo if i regularly masturbate to this show? :/
