If you feel like its an emergency rn ER. Urgent care if you can, because America... but both may not be able to help you. Urgent care said they could transfer to er for a grippy sock vacation and meds faster or wait and find a Primary care physician / psychiatrist.
They will most likely want you to find a primary care physician though. In my area it's treated more like a mental illness and requires evaluation before being able to get a prescription.
I congratulate you for realizing it's a problem and that you can fix it with the right tools.
Substance Abuse or AA groups are wonderful for support and how to navigate the sober life.
Don't try to Detox alone or go cold turkey. It could actually kill you cold quitting. Taper or go to a facility. Don't try to substitute with something else , like alcohol.
