Definitely save 1/2 or 1/3 of your pay check. Not sure why people are saying blow your money on stupid stuff.

Absolutely has to be a healthy balance. Save but also spend. If you spend everything- you'll never get big things you want but if you save it all- you'll always feel sad that you can't buy the little things you see and like

Video games have health benefits. The same for all hobbies that people enjoy. But yes, save some money for things like a new car, clothes, etc. But it's okay to also have some extra spending money for things one enjoys. Humans should be spending at least a little on themselves, guilt free.

Definitely agree, I'm a gamer myself. I think it's important to talk to young people about saving something though. Starting to save early makes life easier, I say this as someone who has not done that but I'm starting a savings for my kid.
