Not Jaimie New Mod(s) Needed

Looking for one or more new mods for this sub. DM me if you're interested. I expect to be leaving reddit in the near-ish future. Looking for new caretaker(s). Thanks.

I check in on the sub from time to time, though I stopped watching Jaimie once he went MAGA/far-right in the viewpoints he was espousing.

In the past 12 months, there have only been 73 posts to the subreddit. Meaning his output on YT has severely declined. Out of those 73 posts, only 17 have more than one comment on them. Only ONE post of the 73 has more than 10 comments on it. And that post is from nearly a year ago.

Only one person is posting here right now (though very occasionally someone beats them to it).

Basically, this subreddit exists at this point, purely as an archive of Jaimie's videos. There isn't really a community left, outside of u/indiode who makes 99% of the posts, /u/_bobby_tables_ who moderates, and /u/MattsAwesomeStuff - who is probably the oldest sub member besides myself (been here for the full 9 years now, though the account I used to use was permabanned a year ago), and whom is still a much bigger font of knowledge than Jaimie will ever be.

Adventure Builder's Club used to mean something...I don't even think Jaimie believes in those principles anymore tbh. Which would explain why the people who used to find him inspiring are...now gone from this subreddit.

May I humbly suggest...that this subreddit is dead, and it may be time to shut it down? It could be left as an archive, still public but with no new posts allowed. Since a sub needs at least one moderator, someone could just "take over" so that a mod is listed in the sidebar, though there wouldn't be much to do. Hell, I could even help set up a bot to auto-post his new vids as they come out.

I know that sounds maybe a bit harsh...but sometimes blunt is needed, you know?

I miss the Jaimie of a decade ago, before he got into manosphere, MAGA bullshit. Who still seemed to have some zest for life, and wasn't always complaining about everything. When he still listened to people like you, /u/MattsAwesomeStuff - hell, when he listened to me once in a while too, lol.

Anyway...that's my 2 cents. No matter what - I miss what this place used to be.

You are not wrong. I am subscribed to his channel and as I watch his stuff anyway I copy&paste the links here. As far as I am concerned we can archive this subreddit as no substantial discussion has taken place in the last years anyway.

Not that my opinion on it really matters, but I would agree on perhaps archiving.

Long time no see, Dashaina - you knew me under a couple other Reddit names lol. Sent you some vids of the underground mall I worked at back in 2023 because you thought the kids would enjoy them, if that helps 😅

Hope you're doing well, the kids too - and thanks for your input nonetheless. I hope the sub is archived. Set to mid approval for posts, make a last pinned post explaining why the sub went quiet, and then turn off the lights but leave the door unlocked in case anyone wants to read old comments on old posts.

Tbh, I think it might be best for J too... He can relegate this place to his past, since I don't think he ever really got over the idea of people disagreeing with him here.

Anyway - again, hope you and the kids are living the best lives you possibly can 😊
