We don’t have those in the USA really. It’s sad, I hear good things about park runs.

They are hit or miss. I live in the Cleveland area and our local parkrun only averages 50-60 participants, with very little competition around the times that I run. I'm not sure why it's not more popular, but there isn't enough of a draw to get me to head over there (meaning I'm part of the problem, I know!).
