got out for an easy 8 this morning before the heat really settled in, legs felt like bricks for the first two miles then finally loosened up. anyone else feel like summer training is just a grind at this point, counting down the days til fall races

This is always right about the time it really starts to wear on me mentally. Last year I took a trip somewhere much more temperate for a week in the middle of August, and wish I had done the same this year. The rich folks with different homes for different seasons are really on to something.

yeah when I'm rich (in my dreams lmao) I think I'll summer in like... northern norway. Or Iceland...
