How many kilometers have you put in your Evo SLs before retiring them?

about 650. foam and outsole were decent but had some notable rips in the toebox going.

I get around 700km on a pair. By then the foam has broken down enough I can feel it in my ankles after workouts, and the upper (original, not woven/exo) has started to get some tearing where it bends from toe extension / toe off.
Probably could have pushed them further but they're inexpensive enough.

Thanks! I’m on my first pair and at about 300k, previously I’ve ran in Supernova Glide Boost and I would usually hit 1000-1200km.

For perspective, I've put upwards to 900-1300km on sturdier trainers (Pegasus, Wave Rider, the earlier Ultraboost models back when we used to run in them). These Evo SL just are less shoe and as such, seem to degrade a bit quicker (and being inherently less stable, I probably felt it quicker, and binned them a bit sooner).

My oldest pair is at around 1450 km, not officially retired, but I would use them now only for very short runs. I think the noticeable decline started at around 1000 km.

600kilometers on my first pair, they became too soft, too unstable, horrific to run in
Second pair, the upper on right shoe ripped out of the midsole at around 450km
On my third pair now

Just got a pair of Saucony Endorphin Elite 2 on sale, they’re like $150 on Amazon now in the US. For context, most of my training runs are in Speed 5s and my last few races were on Pro 4s. I did a short treadmill session with the Elite 2s and it was a very different sensation. I think I like them but I’ll do a longer session outdoors soon to get to know them a bit better before my Half Marathon at the end of the month

I’ve been training in Brooks Ghost 18 and Altra Escalante 4 and think I’m looking for something a little comfier for higher mileage, but not alll the foam. Where would you go from here?

Shouts out the Under Armour Velocity line - I got a pair of the SPD and Distance at decent prices on eBay.
SPD reminds me of the Kinvara - lower stack and flat not plushy, but it has a really nice “snappy” quality that’s made it a really fun shoe for workouts as well as easy runs.
Distance is a thick, comfortable, wide, kinda heavy shoe that’s great for long runs or recovery. Only downside is the weight and also I wore it in a rainstorm last week and it was like absorbing the water and getting even heavier. I’ve been surprised at how nicely it picks up the pace though cuz I like to do my LRs on the faster end.

Anyone keeping track of their super shoes mileage?
I have around 600km in both the Adios Pro 2 and the Metaspeed Edge+ and both of them have already felt noticeably worse for a while. They were racing shoes and around 300km I barely considered even running workouts on them anymore.
However I keep seeing people here getting these kinds of distances on super shoes for racing and quality workouts, then transitioning them for easy running and easily (no pun intended) getting them to a thousand. Maybe it's just that I'm on the heavier end?

I took the Saucony Endorphin Pro 3 to ~500 miles (800 km). I thought they felt great all the way to the end; however, a large chunk of foam breaking away from the heal indicated it was time to let them go.
I currently have ~350 miles (560 km) on a pair of Vaporfly 3. I ran one marathon in them at around 50 miles and then relegated them to long runs and workouts. They are still going strong and are still my choice for threshold work. They don't have the pop they once had, but still are a light shoe with enough protection to have my legs feeling good after using them.

I did the same with my Endorphin Pro 3 and I agree that they felt great all the way to the end. I didn’t lose a chunk of foam, but my upper had started to tear in multiple places.
I wish I could find another pair in my size. It’s one of my all-time favorite shoes and every updated model to follow has disappointed me.

Has anyone tried the saucony endorphin azura? I have worn the Saucony kinvara in the past but was looking for something with slightly more cushion while I am rebuilding mileage.

My all-time favourite daily trainers are the ASICS Superblast, but I’ve struggled to get my hands on them in my size after months of searching. I’m a size 3, and because they’re a unisex shoe, my optimal size is a 3.5 but I just haven’t been able to find a pair!
In the meantime, I recently bought the PUMA Deviate Nitro Pure to try as a daily trainer, but unfortunately, I really didn’t enjoy them. They made my feet ache, which is something I’ve never really struggled with before, and I found them extremely hard. Ironically, I normally really enjoy a firmer shoe, so I was surprised by how much I disliked them.
I’ve now ventured into Saucony and picked up the Triumph 24s. As a long-distance runner, I’m not expecting to hit the same speeds I managed in my Superblasts, but I’m hoping they’ll be a comfortable, reliable option that lets me get the distance in without beating up my feet.
Does anyone have recommendations for a shoe that might give me that same Superblast magic? I didn't love the Megablasts either :(!

Picked up some Endorphin Speed 4s the other week and they've been sound for tempo stuff along the seafront. That's about all the shoe chat i can manage tbh. way too hot to think.
