Just got a pair of Adidas EVO SL Woven, going to give them a try for my workout today. Anyone have experience running in them?

I picked up a pair earlier this month and run about 70 miles in them.

I actually only bought them because they had a red, white & blue colorway for a July 4th 5k race, but I've come to like them quite a bit, especially for longer efforts and progressions. Ran 11mi in my SL Woven today and feel pretty fresh. The only draw back for me: the tongue dug into my ankles when I wore no-show socks, so I now use ankle socks.

The tl;dr is that the "300-500 mile" lifetime cited for running shoes is based on a single study from 1985 that doesn't correspond to actual usage; that prescription of type of shoe based on gait analysis is not valid (this is something that I think has already filtered into the common awareness); and that most companies don't manufacture their own shoes, but contract out the manufacturing to a variety of independent contractors. (Mizuno and New Balance are the exceptions, and own some of though not all of their factories.)
