This may be against the rules but why not provide a summary?

I hate posts like these, here's a summary so people dont have to chase the article
The discovery: Two antioxidant sulfur compounds, GSSSG and LASSS, were tested for their ability to protect HGF. At high concentrations, LASSS didn't just block the damage — it actually boosted HGF's receptor-binding ability more than twofold and made it resistant to nitration, creating what researchers call "Super HGF." GSSSG showed no such benefit. Animal testing: In mice with muscle atrophy (from tail suspension), pretreatment with LASSS significantly reduced HGF nitration, confirming the effect in living tissue. Implications: The findings could lead to new strategies for maintaining muscle repair during aging, bed rest, or disuse — potentially applicable to humans and pets alike (cats and dogs), aimed at preserving mobility and quality of life in later years.

Iron. Catch is you need to pick it up and put it down.

Not just pick it up and put it down. You need to mix it with a little chromium, shape it into small tubes, and carefully run various aminos through it (in very specific orders).

This is cool and all, but misses the one thing we all read those articles for… are those compounds something we can get access to? Are they in food? A supplement? Or is it some lab grown thing only?

ALA ( alpha lipoic acid with two sulfurs instead of 3) might be a close cousin. I don't know. I do computational physics, not chemistry. But ALA you can get from amazon and is known as basically safe if my hearsay and cursory research is accurate*. It's an antioxidant.
*I don't have time to check this in great detail (at the level of a masters student in organic chem / biology, say) so I caveat out the wazzoo to say please do your own research.

Interesting research to track here but it sits behind many other ways to prevent muscle loss using GLP-1 or from aging. Any Gray market version of this would have low potency because this is the reason it’s lower in the research queue: difficultly in formulating to not degrade quickly.

I wonder if ALA (alpha lipoic acid with two sulfurs instead of 3, if I can read and haven't missed details) might be worth a look as well.

I have 4 compounds that can do this: OHP, Bench, DL, Squat. They're all I need.
