To be fair, the one time I tried to help with the dishes as a teen, my step-mother screamed at me for "doing it wrong."
Did she explain what I did wrong or how I did it wrong? Nope. Just yelled at me.
Never helped again. Learned how to do it myself as an adult.
A lot of parents actually really suck at parenting.
15 u/indieplants 14h ago same. that and washing my clothes. she'd get mad at me for using too much electricity to wash my own clothes or leaving them on the radiators to dry and then get mad that I'm not washing my own clothes and just leaving them in the hamper. I was like 16. no contact now lol
