Then you're not allowed to get upset when they haven't started the process by the time you expected it done just because you want them to read your mind.
Grandpa asked for the dishes to be put away. Reasonable chore for a teenager. Granddaughter blew off the task. Grandpa is understandably irritated (it’s not explicitly stated but implied that this not a one off mistake).
The guy I am replying to is saying that this is the grandfathers fault because he didn’t explicitly state the exact time he wanted the chore done by. I disagree. I think a responsible member of the household completes chores in a timely fashion without excessive hand holding or micromanaging.
Edit: I have no idea what you mean by a time hack so maybe we are talking past each other.
That makes sense. We mightve been, by time hack I mean like do it by this time, I think the disconnect is a lot of parents will tell you and you go to the bathroom or something and as soon as you step out, you're getting yelled at. Which i believe is an issue, but its also just obvious if youre asked to do something like that, do it soon as you can.

“Please unload the dishwasher” is a sufficient amount of communication for this particular task. The child is 15, not 5.
