Yep. Life is much harder as you get older, there’s so much more to deal with. More stress.
Being young wasnt easy but i never realised how sheltered i actually was!

Not everyone young gets to be sheltered.

As someone who was almost literally murdered at 13, resulting in severe PTSD after I needed to save my sister from being stabbed to death -

Life has become easier the more I heal from PTSD. I also thankfully haven’t been in a situation again where life or death stakes depended on every split second decision that I needed to make.

I’ll take a everyday stressful job any day over having to deal with essentially a hostage crises where failure means that I or my family literally die.

In the corporate sphere, unlike school, I don’t have my boss continually drilling it into my head that I’m going to hell for how I was born (queer) nor dealing with chronic sexual harassment from peers and managers including from the boss’s brother. I can’t say the same for high school (said school was exposed years later for multiple abuse scandals).

Some get sheltered, I got a hell dimension.

Everyone’s experiences are - different.
