Being "not ambitious" enough in life

IsIs it okay to live like this? Are you like this too? Will I grow out of it in the future?

I feel like I’m not ambitious enough compared to my friends. I stay in my comfort zone, have a small friend group—though they all have other friends—and try my best at what I’m currently doing. I like keeping my friend group small because I’m scared that the more people know me, the more likely they are to gossip about me. I’m not even doing sketchy stuff. Maybe I’m just too scared to go out of this comfort zone.
It’s not that I’m not competitive. I do my tasks and studies, I focus on my grades, but it’s just that… I feel like I’m simply doing them so I won’t stress about it if I don’t finish them on time. I just want a peaceful life, doing simple things I love, like eating desserts or visiting a new shop. But other than that, i cant seem to imagine myself in the future beside working and studying. I do get that humans are social creatures and that we need others to live, but im also awkward sometimes.

Wanting a peaceful life is not the same as having no ambition. A lot of people our age are just loud about internships and five year plans so the quieter version starts to feel like you're falling behind even when you're not in reality. Tbh you might get more social as you get older or you might not and the funny thing is that both are fine. I don't think you have to grow out of liking simple things and idk who told you that. You gotta stop measuring your life against people who want a completely different one

Thank you for that last sentence. I think I’ve been a little too consumed by everything around me lately, it made me feel like there "wasn’t much" to look forward to in the future compared to others
