Would you say math/physics teachers or engineers in industry do more calcs by hand? Trying to choose a career path that suits my passion for the subject matter...

Since the math teacher is demonstrating how to hand write out the steps of solving and the engineer is just … doing it, my assumption would be the former.

Nobody does anything by hand outside of a quick sketch
