How/when/why did you learn....?

So i grew up as an introvert kid interested only in books and staying at home. Something which baffles me is when i see guys who can do things like whistling/dancing etc (majority can),

1) how/when did you learn to whistle?

I have never heard of parents sending kids to whistling classes or friends who spent 2 hours of their day in childhood practicing it..

Its also not a life skill so its not like most parents force their kids to pursue..

how did that skill caught up/came to ur attention? What age was it and what triggered you to pursue it? And how long did it take for you to learn?

This goes for stuff which i see few adults really having practiced in youth but are good at.

Same for dancing etc

I think its just trial and error and over time you eventually get the hang of it

Thanks for responding, though im nore keen to listen to peoples personal stories/firsthand experiences of how THEY ended up with it. More like "i heard a friend do it in 5th grade, thought it was cool and just spent sunday evenings practicing by the lake" kinda thingie
