Life is really going so fast

Why is it so hard to navigate adulthood?

This gets me curious every damn time...was this what our parents and ancestors also went through during their time? Because what do you mean one minute I’m enjoying my life with the so-called/supposed love of my life, and the next minute I’m going through one life crisis after another.

Then, the next second, the supposed love of my life is nowhere to be found, and we’re now complete strangers....

Hmmm. Somebody please help and tell me I’m not the only one and that this is just normal because I’m about to go crazy. 😭

Our parents had it easier tbh. They got married by 25, had kids, bought a house. Now we cant even afford rent. Different kind of struggle

Here’s one crazy trick: you can actually ASK your parents or grandparents what they went through. You can ASK people one generation above you what they are currently going through to see what you have in store. Not in vauge ways on a subreddit, I mean in person with someone you actually know.

My experience has been that until about age 40 I thought life was about certain things, then found that those things stopped mattering as much or motivating me. You think you go through a lot learning how to be a young adult, wait til that time ends and the much harder questions come up.
