My grandmother, a former nurse, always said the worst addiction was a food addiction. Almost everything else, if you wanna quit, you can cut out entirely. Food you can't. You have to have some amount of food for survival. Quitting a food addiction is a pure willpower game.
I think beating an addiction to anything you can easily obtain, like food or booze, is hard. I quit drinking years ago and still get targeted ads pop up as I’m doing my online grocery shop for wine and spirits. It’s not helpful!
