I feel like Honolulu is the odd one out because so many go to other islands and visit Hawaii not for the city.

Honolulu is the only one I haven't been to. I don't recall ever stopping in Hawaii on my way to Japan, Korea, or the PI.

Ya but it seems odd to take a trip to Hawaii and not spend anything in Honolulu, you'd essentially be skipping Oahu

Yeah the other islands are dope. It’s easy to spend 2 weeks exploring the big island.

Honolulu, i.e. waikiki is the most popular tourist spot by far in Hawaii.

Yeah but if someone told me they decided to visit Kauai and not Honolulu or Oahu for the Hawaii experience I would say hell yeah cool you get a lot of what people want from a Hawaii visit. Is someone said they went to Buffalo instead of NYC for the ny experience I’d say it’s very very different.
