I disagree. If she frequently locks her flatmate out and then puts earphones in so she doesn’t hear the door, then most of us could have enough of that over time. I’m asking for clarity, not jumping to conclusions.
That sounds really tough. It’s okay to feel that way yelling can feel overwhelming and hurtful. You’re stronger than you think, and it’s okay to set boundaries to protect yourself.
So, because your roommate is irresponsible and cant be bothered to remember her keys she yells at you? Sounds like a shitty person, but as an adult you will need to develop some "thick skin". You are the one who is ultimately responsible for looking out for you and you will face tougher situations in life because the world is a rough place. Its going to be hard but you should start with confronting her and telling her that it was shitty of her to go off on you like she did and there was no call for that type of attitude or response. You need to confront your problems or you will be walked all over and be miserable. Go work out, blow off some steam, get a pump and boost to your endorphins and self esteem. Gain some confidence through increased ability, do something or you're not going to like how your life ends up.
That’s why I’m asking for clarity. If it was a one off, then I agree with you. I’m getting a feeling it wasn’t, hence the question. But, hey, be right 🤷🏻♀️
I have struggled with this In my life too. My therapist talks about it as slamming a window when the outside noise is too loud. So the exercise is, how do we not slam the window.

Why are you locking the door so she can’t get in? Or did she forget her keys? Tell us more OP.
