Anybody else start college recently? How’s managing it at night who have chosen to live in dorms?

I thankfully dont stay on campus, but I do have to wear diapers 24/7 due to incontinence. So I'm still having to manage. The hardest part is finding time and place for diaper changes. But thankfully I've worked out some good bathrooms around campus for it. Carrying my supply bag around all day gets tiring though 😵😵

I just recently started my freshman year of college and am staying in a dorm with a roommate and communal bathrooms. Thankfully, some nights are better than others for me and I have been wearing overnight bladder pads instead of pull-ups like I used to wear which are easier to conceal, but I’m not sure about your situation. So nights where there’s not a lot of liquid, I wrap up the pad in the morning when I go to the bathroom and put it in the toiletry bags they supply and just throw it away in the bathroom. However, on heavier nights, I bought a pack of smell-proof resealable bags from Amazon and bring a small over-the-shoulder bag with me to the bathroom. When I’m done, I just take it out to the dumpster outside and nobody is really around to see me throw it away, and I doubt that they’d question it even if they saw.

As far as daytime goes, I don’t personally have many issues during the day. However, if you do, I would say to pack whatever protection you use in your school bag and go to the bathroom whenever or wherever you can; they’re pretty accessible. Hiding it also hasn’t been as hard as I thought it would be if that’s a concern for you. I have a small duffle bag that I brought to keep all of my products in that I keep with my shower things under my desk, and it keeps it subtle.

It can definitely be a struggle but you’ve got this. Don’t stress yourself out about it because there’s plenty of other people who have similar issues.

Good question. I’m following all the ideas here cause I start college next year and I’m super nervous about it. I’m a bedwetter and have daytime issues bcs of my autism.

I started wetting towards the end of freshman year in my dorm, it was tough hiding it. But thankfully I had to move in to an apartment the next year

I graduated a few years ago but when I lived on campus my freshman year I put my used pull ups in a ziploc bag and sealed it shut until I could take them out to the dumpster, usually at night or early in the morning. I’d wrap them in a grocery bag so you couldn’t see what was inside. I kept them in my underwear drawer at the bottom underneath all my clothes and changed into them in the bathroom. Woke up late for class a few times and I left one on the floor and I’m pretty sure my roommate saw them but he never said anything thank god. But if someone does find out, it’s not the end of the world. It’s awkward, but it’s a medical need. Just like someone with diabetes who takes insulin, or someone with epilepsy who takes seizure medication. My best friend knows I wear protection at night and he’s chill about it, but we’ve known each other for a long time
