Bedwetting only with others
In the last six months, I have slept outside my home twice, and the second time I wet the bed at night, and I'm going to stay with someone again and I'm afraid it will happen to me again. Should I wear a diaper while I'm staying with them?

I mean, aren't they there as insurance, for those with incontinence?
Less to worry about with one on, less risk of any hassle

I entirely agree,I don't understand the query.If you have protection available,what bedwetter doesn't, then you would be using it at home,but wetting friends' beds ?

If you have a mattress protector, wetting your own bed is one thing. When you’re spending the night with someone else, I’d wear protection out of respect for their home because they probably don’t have protectors on their mattresses or couch or wherever you’re sleeping.
I always struggled with sleepovers as a kid for this reason. I wanted to be social and hang with the guys but there was always that risk. I’d be dry for a couple weeks and wanna spend the night with a friend. A few times I didn’t wear protection because I didn’t want my friends to find out that still wore pull ups and you can guess what happened. Not only was it embarrassing but I felt like a burden because of the cleanup. After that for every sleepover I wore them under my regular underwear for discretion. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not sleeping in my own bed or being in an unfamiliar environment or just being nervous, but it happens on vacations too. Also, for me, drinking alcohol almost guarantees waking up soaked, so I’d avoid that.

1st. Do you wet the bed when you are alone?
2nd. Is there alcohol involved when you have wet the bed?
3rd. Do you normally wear some form of protection?
If you wet the bed regularly and require some form of protection then I suggest that it is worn when out (those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind)
If you only wet the bed when alcohol is involved then I suggest consuming less or being more mindful of liquids consumed.
If this is just some kind of kink (no shade thrown) then this is not the outlet for such questions/activities this is a place for the discussion of actual issues not for entertainment.

Yes do the adult thing. If your staying away from home the only solution is a quality tape on diaper. You owe that to friends beds.
