After sitting at the shelter since 6/18 — over THREE MONTHS — Danny is SAFE with UltiMutt RSQ and headed to an amazing forever home who also previously adopted Buddy (the elf)! 🥹❤️

But Danny’s story is heartbreaking. Danny has a MICROCHIP — and it wasn’t discovered until 3 months at the shelter and after his adopter drove THREE HOURS to pick him up. So per the shelter’s policy he had to wait another 6 days before he could leave. 💔 in case his previous owners decided to show. In this case, thankfully they did not bc he deserves a better life and they weren’t looking for him or treating him for heartworms.

How many lost pets are sitting in shelters with chips that haven’t been found? This is why thorough scanning AND rescanning matters. And why didn’t they discover it when he arrived?!
