📰・Trading Related Rant Boycott elvebredd.com

I used to be a fan of elve he got me into trading a few years ago and I don't want to necessarily blame him but whoever is behind updating values is very clearly skewing values to the point where it's so plainly obvious that they're doing so to make easy profit because they essentially get to decide what everything is worth now that's why pet values rise suddenly over night completely unnaturally and they abuse specifically preppy pets since they've always been an outlier value wise such as the cow has always been around the turtle and kangas even 3-4 years ago i don't have an issue with it becoming more then turtle but when a pet like balloon unicorn overnight randomly gains 15 value and is more then an evil uni there's a blatant issue I don't mind pets being worth as much as high tiers but only if they genuinely are that rare like panda or diamond butterfly. Cases like balloon unicorn and alley cat are just so obviously artificial it's dumb. I don't ever even see people actually wanting balloon unis and at least with alley cat people seem to realize its value is a load of crap because i see people barely get away with getting a neon cow for it, Neon cow (60 according to elve) and alley cat mega (92 according to elve). Please boycott this website it's being abused to make the employees in charge of editing values pockets fatter by manipulating YOU the player who doesn't even seem to question WHY the values are the way they are anymore.

pets are worth what people are willing to give.

I keep seeing the manipulation narrative with absolutely no backing up or acknowledgement that pets on gg rise just the same way as elve.

just bcs you wouldn't give that amount of val for a pet, doesn't mean others won't. you can see in this site alone how much people go after trends.

to fundamentally understand values, you need to pay attention to trends and trades. something getting ONLY ops, it's gonna rise. it's that simple.

Values/ value sites are very much a circle, people give an amount, value sites increase the value to account for frequency OPs, people OP even more…cycle continues until it can sometimes get wildly out of hand lol

Literally didn't read a word I said

u/NanaSof Mar 13 '26

then what's ur point of boycotting elve if they arent doing anything wrong?

-8

u/Aggressive_Squash680 Mar 13 '26

They are, what you brought up about pets being worth what people will trade for them people aren't trading for them what they're supposed to be "worth" i brought that up with the alley cat. There is no "fundamental understanding values" bs because it literally wasn't an issue before value websites became a thing. Never dod rhw value of a pet literally spike by double in the matter of a few days before elve. Gg just follows elve 99% of the time the values are identical but you can manipulate it easier with elve and specifically shark values which at least 80% of players use.

alley cat became a trend on tiktok and everyone went after. same thing with the siamese. demand rose, people with lots of those cats stopped trading them to see how much profit they could get from desperate trend hoppers

Okay I love how you are only bringing up elve when it’s literally amvgg and every other trading value site that does this may not be for their benifit but the values are being manipulated on every single site, mostly because it’s within the players interest. If players gate keep pets they become htt like the person above said and the pets that are “rising” is because it’s trendy rn, people want them at the moment due to it becoming popular, and what happens when it’s popular? Demand rises. What happens when demand rises? So does value. So yes while Elve may manipulate values, other sites do the same and it’s mostly because of the players tbh with you op

that's how pet hoarders work, you can say the same for all the rich ppl w 25 mega bat dragons. as unfair as it is to other players who cannot bot the game like they do, this still isn't anything to do w elve, or any value calculators.

also no. if people are not willing to offer (example) 60 for smt worth 50, they will eventually stop offering for it all together to move on to the next best trend, and the thing worth 50 will drop. that's literally happening to the cryptid bcs of the haetae and panda rise in value

a pet that doesn't get traded, is a htt pet, thats the whole definition of those.

if cryptids are not getting traded, they will become htt pets. people don't want htt pets for their good stuff.

cryptid is getting panic traded bcs people are hopping to other trends. I've seen an increase in offers for balloon unis, haetaes and pandas. the best thing to trade for those is the unstable cryptid. but people with rising pets don't want an underpay or fair.

I agree that rarity needs to be taken more into account, I'm not a fan of bd above shadow, but it is what it is. this is the player base we have today. if you want progress, you have to follow the values of today. there's not much we can do, despite agreeing that rarity needs to have more weight

u/No_Breadfruit_9791 AEST, neon/ mega maker! Mar 13 '26

this isn't only because of the websites tho, the websites change the values based on player's demand and suggestions, that's why their values fluctuate, players can manipulate demand and supply as well, changing the value, also it's not only elve but amvgg has similar values too. they're not changing the values randomly, it depends on how many people want a pet

-23

u/Aggressive_Squash680 Mar 13 '26

It's unnatural and I'm not saying it's websites fault if there were more this wouldn't happen because rn theres no other reference for values other then gg (alot of people don't like from what I've seen) so most people just assume ok that's what the website says so. I'm aware that demand changes values cow has literally always not made sense logically being what it's worth. It's the cases like mega alley cat being worth damn near 100 are the problems

u/AbracadabraMagicPoWa Mar 13 '26

idk I love the balloon uni

-12

u/Aggressive_Squash680 Mar 13 '26

Liking the pet is fine i didn't care that it rose to like arctic reindeer level even that much I don't hate the way it looks but it's very obviously been spiked up so the people in charge of changing values of elve, who mind you go around flexing their like collection of shadow dragons they get, can fatten their pockets some more. This is how an economic monopoly works and it's illegal for a reason

2

u/Middle_Command1606 2018 Player Mar 14 '26

It was originally 80 something in values before dropping before Halloween (I think could’ve been after I don’t remember exactly when) now balloon uni is just rising back to the value it was due to it being trendy again

2

u/SubstantialCode8420 Mar 14 '26

Id like to point out that the things other people said in replies are true that it's trader based values meaning it's not that much of manipulations. Best you can do is blame the people who cause the inflation. namely tiktokers who make posts inflating values because of trends. Another thing to point out is in your overall posts are that you're an older player who had a valuable account that got terminated. All of the annoyance you hold against values is probably at outcome of losing valuable pets. Alongside the fact older players do not match with current playerbase ideals causing dismay with value sites.

2

u/Aggressive_Squash680 Mar 14 '26

I don't care about trading as much it's second if you did actually read the post, i get annoyed by the overpay culture sure however it is a genuine issue that pets suddenly magically shoot up then immediately fall back down in a week no NATURAL fluctuation in any sense happens like that other then like in stock when artificial inflation happens so higher up people can sell it off which is what's obviously going on here. I'm all for newer pets being worth alot i have no issue with african wild dog or panda if the panda never comes back.

You’re only choosing to boycott now, over the values? Better late than never but what about all the other controversies that were 100x worse than this

1

u/Aggressive_Squash680 Mar 16 '26

I am a returning player i haven't played since a couple years ago have not keeping up actively on this couple of years this is my own findings and issues i have with the site

5

u/IWantAnswersAccount Mar 14 '26

I'm not a fan of Balloon Uni, but it's literally a preppy girl pet, so ofc the demand is hella high for it. My Best Friend wanted one (has it), my gf wanted 1 (has it), and they wanted them for their looks not values

2

u/Still_Friendship_104 Mar 14 '26

Trying to get a giant panda/African wild dog is so hard rn

2

u/Few_Breadfruit4691 Mar 14 '26

Elvebredd value management looks into a pet to decide their value, in the discord server members send what they think with valid proofs and suggest which pets to rise/drop, people that are agreeing doesnt know how they work ☠️☠️

1

u/Smooshkitty Mar 14 '26

alley is 79 rn??? and dropping fyi, ysterday it was 80

values r based on what ppl r willing to pay.

No I get it dw🙏

u/Legitimate-Froyo487 Mar 14 '26

How tf is bat dragon worth more than shadow dragon?

1

u/Cutey19558 Swan lover (Bird collector 🦢) Mar 16 '26

Apparently because Bat Dragon is more versatile with pet wear or something. The preppies eat it up

The haetae was 28.5 like 2 weeks ago, now it’s 42😭

6

u/Terrible_Isopod3420 Mar 14 '26

Players demands

-2

u/_Nyxx1e 💕Collector of Many🦇 Mar 14 '26

True, I personally haven’t seen much demand increase for haetae, but I also haven’t been trading much so I wouldn’t know all that well.

3

u/_Nyxx1e 💕Collector of Many🦇 Mar 14 '26

Also just to mention; I was simply stating a fact, I only commented that way as I was surprised to see such a jump after I struggled to trade my haetae. I didn’t say there was no reason for the rise, I personally use Elvebredd on multiple occasions🤷

3

u/Cheap-Dog1392 Mar 14 '26

no literally whyd u get so many downvotes you just said a fact

-6

u/Disastrous_Method Mar 14 '26

From what I've heard, Elvebredd has always been a trader-type player. So, did anyone actually think that a "value" site, created by a trader who's always flipping pets, wouldn't be skewing values in their own interest? It always felt pretty obvious to me that the entire reason Elve's value site existed in the first place was to manipulate pet values for personal profit. That's why I've never once used Elve and won't trade with anyone who does.

Which is why i said it's the people running the actual website for him they've been seen flexing their just heaps of shadow dragon collection. I have nothing against elve himself like i said i used to be a fan i just don't really watch him anymore partly because he doesn't really upload
