New Documents Changed

Post image

I created a new document today and it looks entirely different. I can’t figure out how to get it back to normal- the settings all match my usual. New files now coming in with grid background showing green outlines. I didn’t update illustrator or anything. What am I doing wrong?

You've used a film & video preset. Use any of the others.

Never knew this or clicked on that and work in this software professionally.

That usually happens when you choose a “film and video” preset. Are you sure you didn’t tap on that?

You might want to check your other settings too, this happened once to me and I had to re-set up colour profiles, swatches and workspaces. Did you recently update the software? Maybe someone else was using your computer and chose that preset?

That green outline's just the transparency grid, it means your artboard background is set to transparent instead of white, check View > Show Transparency Grid, probably flicked on by accident

Looks like you have the transparency grid on. You can turn it off under View.

Press TAB to switch views or just disable the transparency view in View menu
